With 8,200 locations in 11 regions/countries worldwide, we’re in a unique position to put our sustainable goals into practice, with action-oriented programs in the communities where we live and work, as well as efforts that introduce millions of drivers to new fuel and vehicle technology.
CARBON OFFSET PROGRAM
This program offers our customers the choice to help offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated by an average rental car, funding certified offset projects that work to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
MATCHING DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR
The Enterprise Holdings Foundation matches customer contributions dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $1 million. Through this program we have joined with our partner, TerraPass, to enable our customers to make a simple, sustainable choice that benefits the environment.
HALFWAY TO OUR GOAL
To date, this program has generated more than half million dollars toward its $1 million commitment. The overall impact: 90,000 metric tons of carbon have been offset, which based on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards, is equivalent to saving 10 million gallons of gasoline and 200,000 barrels of oil.
